Emma Drinan
Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist
Emma is the owner and founder of Supportive Speech Pathology. Emma is a certified practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia. She graduated from a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from the University of Newcastle in mid 2019. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Linguistics and Italian Studies from Macquarie University.
Emma enjoys working with both adults and children across a wide range of practice areas. She has experience delivering assessment and interventions for adult and paediatric clients in a range of settings including schools, community health services and acute and rehabilitation in hospitals.
Emma is passionate about providing client/family-centred care, and enjoys helping her clients reach their goals by using functional activities supported by evidence-based practice. She has a particular interest in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), stuttering and accent modification.
Emma has spent time volunteering overseas and teaching English as a second language. She has also spent time studying overseas herself and as a result has first-hand understanding of how different social and cultural environments can impact communication. When studying linguistics, Emma’s main interests were multilingualism, sociolinguistics and anthropological linguistics which all also contribute to her practice as a Speech Pathologist.
Emma has completed Key Word Sign, Lidcombe Program, LAMP training, Sounds-Write, DIR Floortime 101 and Story Champs workshops.

Where we travel
As a mobile practice, we travel to see you where it's most convenient for you. We offer assessment and therapy at homes, schools, offices, pre schools, daycares, aged care facilities, and more.
We have even held sessions in parks, libraries, shopping centres and cafes!
It's an excellent opportunity to practice goals in real life settings (e.g. stutter free speech when ordering a coffee).
